ITINERARY
Day 1: Buenos Aires

Arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

After breakfast, a city tour of perhaps the most cosmopolitan metropolis in South America. The tour will include a visit to the Plaza de Mayo and the Casa Rosada presidential palace with the famous balcony from which Juan and Evita Peron greeted the masses. After lunch, a visit to La Esquina Carlos Gardel, the foremost tango house in Buenos Aires.

Day 3: Buenos Aires - Estancia

Full day Fiesta Gaucha excursion, visiting a typical "estancia" in the pampas. A delicious lunch will be served where you will be able to appreciate the ranching work of the true South American cowboy, the gaucho. Return to your hotel.

Day 4: Buenos Aires - Iguazu

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Puerto Iguazu. Transfer to your hotel. A visit to the fabulous UNESCO World Heritage Iguazu falls, the most voluminous falls in the world and more than three times the width of the Niagara Falls. The Argentinean side of Iguazú allows for a close appreciation. Set in a subtropical rain forest reserve of over 180,000 hectares, Iguazú is home to jaguar, puma, caiman and over 400 species of bird. This tour includes "The Great Adventure", an exhilarating boat ride on the Iguazu river, heading towards the falls themselves. Return to your hotel.

Day 5: Iguazu Falls - Brazilian side

Cross the border into Brazil for a half day excursion to appreciate a wider view of the falls. Return to your hotel in Argentina.
(Please note that all US citizens require a Brazilian visa for this excursion).

Day 6: Puerto Iguazu - Buenos Aires - El Calafate

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Buenos Aires to take the connecting flight to El Calafate. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
El Calafate is the site of the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the most dramatic natural sites left on earth. The Perito Moreno Glacier of Santa Cruz is a 60m (197ft) high river of rising, toppling and exploding ice, though it hasn't advanced for several years.

Day 7: Perito Moreno Glacier

After breakfast, opportunity to walk on the glacier or for a selection of other activities including other treks, 4x4 trips and boat trips to other glaciers in the area such as Upsala, Onelli and Spegazzini.

Day 8: El Calafate - Bariloche

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bariloche. Arrival to Bariloche and transfer to your hotel.

Day 9: Bariloche

After breakfast, we shall take the cable car up Cerro Campanario before enjoying a visit to Victoria Island and walking through the Los Arrayanes National Park. Return to your hotel.

Day 10: Bariloche

Free day of leisure to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bariloche. Enjoy the most deluxe ski resort in South America or simply wander around the shops. Or perhaps try some fly fishing.

Day 11: Bariloche Buenos Aires

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Buenos Aires and your connecting flight home.
